BENEFIZKONZERT: Mondo Chôro

Mondo Chôro is a trio of musicians from all over the world who live in NRW and explore the world of Brazilian choros together: Anais Pasanau Miró from Spain plays clarinet – João Luis Nogueira from Brazil plays guitar and Carl Zinsius from Germany plays percussions. The concert is part of the series: ‘Artists for Cap Anamur – The finest in charity jazz’. Admission to the concert is free, we ask for donations for Cap Anamur / Deutsche Not-Ärzte e.V.

Choro is a Brazilian musical style that originated at the end of the 19th century through the fusion of European melodies and Afro-Brazilian rhythms. Choro is a very lively and versatile music. Its melodies can be virtuosic and cheerful as well as solemn and melancholic. Paired with colourful harmonies, improvisations and spirited rhythms, it is simply infectious and inevitably transports us to the lively life of Brazilian cafés and terraces.

Admission free, donation welcome. Doors open from 6 pm.
